Video: “Sight & Sound” – Kreeger Museum Concert Inspired by Jack Boul Paintings
A video recording is now available of “Sound and Sight,” a chamber concert inspired by the paintings and monotypes of Washington artist Jack Boul. Composed by Roger Tréfousse, the work draws on eight of Boul’s paintings, which were projected one by one behind the musicians during the performance at the Kreeger Museum in Washington, DC.
The piece was performed by the Faculty Ensemble from the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State Universityand has already reached audiences through broadcasts on classical radio stations in California, Oregon, North Carolina and Massachusetts, as well as on WETA-FM’s Front Row Washington.
